
A vehicle fire caused emergency services to close off the main road through Audlem village today.
The incident happened shortly after midday on Shropshire Street outside the Co-op store.
Fire crews from Nantwich were called to the scene to tackle the fire which involved a red Vauxhall hatchback.
A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said: “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are currently fighting a fire involving a car using two hose reel jets.
“The road is closed in both directions.”
It’s not clear at this stage what caused the blaze.
