Detectives want witnesses who saw a robbery at a bookmakers in Nantwich Road to come forward.

Two masked men entered Corbetts Bookmakers in Nantwich Road, Crewe, and stole cash from the premises.

They were then seen running down Ernest Street.

The female staff member was unhurt but shaken by the incident.

The first man is white, over 6ft, medium build. He wore dark Adidas bottoms with green stripes down the side and a chunky dark grey coat with the hood up. He had a blue woolly scarf covering his face.

The second man is white, over 6ft, medium build, wearing a chunky black hooded coat with the hood up and light grey tracksuit bottoms. He was also wearing a blue woolly scarf covering his face.

Det Con Claire Jesson said: “We believe the offenders arrived in a vehicle which was parked at the bottom of Culland Street.

“This was a distressing incident for the victim. We are keen to speak to anyone with any information regarding the people responsible or anyone who saw a vehicle acting suspiciously.”
