“‘The Very Best in Stand Up” returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on New Year’s Eve for the first time ever.

A top bill of acts showcasing the best of the international circuit will help revellers laugh their way into the New Year.

Compere and host for the evening is Kiwi star Sully O Sullivan, a highlight of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

He was also star of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and won Canada’s Masters of the Universe Improv Competition, and featured on Australian TV’s The Comedy Channel.

The first act is James Cook, a 14-year veteran of the circuit. James’ quirky, original and improvisational style make him one of the most in-demand acts on the circuit. He is making his Nantwich debut.

Danny Deegan is a rising star of British stand-up and has a gift for story-telling combined with a dose of Northern cheeky charm.

The final act is Midlands comic Sean Percival. The ex-welder from Dudley’s upfront and down to earth style of comedy sees him headlining shows nationwide. Rude, crude and very funny, Sean is the drunken heckler’s worst nightmare.

A spokesman said: “The show will start and finish earlier than our normal nights allowing you to start your night off with us but the Civic Hall will remain open with a late bar for those of you who want to keep going and see in the New Year in comfort.”

Tickets are priced £15 & are available from Nantwich Civic Hall, Crewe Lyceum & www.civiccomedy.co.uk

Doors open 7pm, show starts 8pm.
