South Cheshire Advanced Motorcyclists will be holding a free motorcycle rider assessment day this Saturday June 8.

Motorcyclists from Cheshire, The Potteries, and across the North West have attended similar assessment days in the past.

This weekend’s event will be held between 10am and 4pm at J&S Northwich Motorcycle Megastore, in Oakmere, Cheshire.

Members of the group will be on hand to discuss riding or capability matters with the public, and accredited observers will be undertaking free assessment rides.

Observed rides will last about 45 minutes and will include pre and post ride briefings. There is no charge for the assessment rides.

South Cheshire AM spokesman Bob Harris said: “All motorcyclists are welcome, but they must have passed their full motorcycle test before they are eligible for Advanced Motorcycling Guidance.

“Any motorcyclist undertaking a free assessment ride at the event will be entered into draw for a £20 voucher to spend at J&S.”

The assessment day is also designed to prepare riders who could be interested in taking part in the summer course which starts on Sunday July 7.

South Cheshire AM meets on the last Thursday of each month at The Hawk Inn in Haslington, Crewe.

The group is affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists and has accredited observers who are certified to provide assessment and feedback.
