The amazing artistic talents of Nantwich school children are on display at the town’s museum for another week.

Paintings like this “Nantwich Market” Picasso style by a Stapeley Broad Lane CE Primary School Year 5 pupil make up the “SkoolsFest 14” exhibition in the Millennium Gallery.

The display takes the theme of “The People of Nantwich” and features work from primary and secondary schools composing the Nantwich Education Partnership.

Mary Hennessy Jones, headteacher at Pear Tree Primary School, observed how local schools value the arts.

She introduced Nantwich Town Council Mayor Cllr Christine Farrall, who opened the exhibition praising the quality of the artwork on display.

The museum is one of the mayor’s charities for the year and she noted its vibrancy and the contribution its staff and volunteers make to the success of the town.

The Nantwich Education Partnership involves 16 local schools and has worked collectively to improve the learning experience for children.

The exhibition, which features mixed media work some of it inspired by eminent artists, runs until Saturday July 12.

Admission to the museum is free.
