Round Table Santa Float

Father Christmas will be out and about as Santa’s Float visits Nantwich and surrounding villages over the next 10 days.

The Crewe & Nantwich Round Table Christmas Float will be visiting streets across South Cheshire to help raise money for local causes.

And it gives excited youngsters a chance to meet Santa himself before the big day!

This year’s float has been built especially by Crewe ice cream van company, Whitby Morrison.

A Round Table spokesman said: “They have supplied all labour and materials free of charge and have spent a lot of time making the new float into a magical experience for the children of Crewe and Nantwich.

“The existing float had been kept going for over 20 years!”

Tonight and tomorrow (December 6-7) the float will be touring the streets of Audlem.

Then on Monday and Tuesday December 8-9 it will be seen along the streets of Willaston.

It will be in Wybunbury and Basford on December 10, Hough and Weston on December 11, and Wrenbury and Aston on December 12.

During the day on Saturday December 13, Santa will be at Red Wellies Nursery on London Road, Nantwich.

On Saturday night it will be visiting Wychwood Park & Village.

And on Sunday and Monday December 14-15 it will be touring all areas of Nantwich.

Santa will be finishing off his exhausting schedule in Barbridge on Wednesday December 17

Last year, the tour helped raise more than £7,000 for charities such as The Wingate Centre in Wrenbury, Caudwell Children in Stoke-on-Trent, The Sick Children’s Trust and CHUF.

Santa Claus will have an army of helpers pulling the Float during all his visits between 6pm and 9pm, including local fire cadets and scouts, while collectors knock on doors.
