Elle Morris, 10 wishes, going to Santaland

A Nantwich salon is offering free haircuts – to help raise money for Elle’s Wishes.

Staff at Johnston Brady, in Nantwich town centre, will be snipping for free on February 7.

They were keen to help raise awareness of nine-year-old Elle Morris’ battle against cystic fibrosis.

When Elle’s family, from Wrenbury near Nantwich, found out she needed a double lung transplant, they launched ‘Elle’s Wishes’ to grant Elle her 10 wishes before her next birthday.

The effort has gone national, withe celebrities, organisations and readers all helping out.

And one of the Stapeley Broad Lane pupil’s 10 wishes was to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

So now the team at Johnston Brady will be opening up between 12pm and 6pm on February 7 to cut anyone’s hair for free in return for small donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Salon manager Jenna Robinson said: “We first heard the story of Elle on Facebook, and then her mum popped in to ask us to take a ‘selfie’ with the poster for Sunday brunch.

“After this, we decided we wanted to do more to help, and decided upon this charity event!

“We also have a raffle in the salon at the moment with numerous prizes.”

Local coffee shop Enzo, on the town square, have also offered to provide refreshments on the day.
