Draw at Preston - Crewe & Nantwich Ladies RUFC beat Chester Devas 29-0

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC Ladies maintained their push for the league title with a comfortable 29-0 win away at Chester Devas.

The Vagrants side are now just one point behind Didsbury in Women’s NC North West 1 division.

They never looked troubled against a resilient opponent who are no mugs, running in five tries.

More importantly, their solid defence kept a clean sheet to further boost their points difference.

Mary Shepperson and Millie Jones bagged two tries apiece, as they finished off fine moves.

India Perris Reading added a fifth try to seal yet another bonus point as Crewe made it eight victories in nine outings.

Didsbury did not play, which means Crewe closed the gap.

All eyes are now on the final encounter of the season when Didsbury and Crewe clash in April.
