night time campaign - Welsh Row - Nantwich

Welsh Row in Nantwich is to close for five days starting on May 28 for “structural patching work”, says Cheshire East highways.

The closure will be in place from 9am until 5pm each day between Tuesday (May 28) and Saturday June 1.

The road will be open during the evenings and overnight, says the authority.

In a statement, Cheshire East Council said: “Whilst the work is taking place, drivers will not be able to use all of Welsh Row during the day and are advised to plan their journey using the diversion route via Waterlode.

“Access will be maintained at all times to residents and businesses throughout the closure.

“The point of entry to the road might vary but highways colleagues on-site will be able to assist those who need local access.

“All residents and business affected have had a letter notification and there are also advance warning boards in place.

“Works have been planned during school half term to minimise disruption.

“Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times.

“Cheshire East Highways will be monitoring the work as it progresses.

“We would like to thank motorists, businesses and residents for their patience during this work.”

Closure information can be found on Cheshire East Council roadworks website and updates on @CECHighways twitter account.
