The fire caused extensive damage to the building, although firefighters were able to recover a large amount of furniture from the building.

Firefighters finally left the scene on Thursday January 16 and the building was handed over to the owner.

At its height, there were 10 fire engines have been in attendance from Tarporley, Nantwich, Chester, Winsford, Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Northwich along with an aerial appliance from Chester.
