Nantwich Pool, girl on bail

Nantwich swimming pool will open again to the public from September 1, Everybody Leisure has announced.

The trust has already reopened 11 sports facilities across Cheshire East for activities such as gym, group fitness and outdoor swimming, including the brine pool in Nantwich.

Now it aims to reopen is indoor facilities at Nantwich as well as Congleton Leisure Centre, Poynton Leisure Centre, Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre and Middlewich Leisure Centre.

From September 1, gym and group fitness classes will be open and available to pre-book activity slots via www.everybody.org.uk

Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre and Middlewich Leisure Centre will be opening in the evenings and on a Saturday for gym, group fitness classes and outdoor club sport bookings.

This will be kept under review until the end of October.

Congleton and Poynton will be open seven days a week.

Everybody is preparing indoor swimming pools to be reopened on a phased approach following guidance from the government and governing bodies including Swim England.

From September 1, public swimming will be available at:

* Alsager Leisure Centre
* Crewe Lifestyle Centre
* Nantwich Swimming Pool
* Macclesfield Leisure Centre
* Wilmslow Leisure Centre
* Sandbach Leisure Centre
* Knutsford Leisure Centre

From September 7, public swimming will be available at:

* Congleton Leisure Centre
* Poynton Leisure Centre

Children’s swimming lessons will start to resume from September 7.

All swimming customers will need to follow social distancing and one way systems, come dressed ‘beach ready’ and are encouraged to follow the national swimming guidance which includes showering at home and spending minimal time in the changing villages.

Due to latest government announcements, all spas and sauna areas will remain closed until further notice.

Everybody is to increase gym sessions from 45 minutes to 90 minutes while increasing visitor capacity in some larger gyms to improve the customer experience from September 1.

The demand for group fitness classes has been high with spaces filling fast.

This means Everybody is now introducing more group fitness classes to the timetables to meet customers needs.

Nantwich Outdoor Pool is now open for pre-bookable, lane and family swimming sessions.
