Four more top comedy acts are heading to Nantwich for the last Very Best in Stand Up show before the summer break.
Nantwich Civic Hall will play host to hilarious acts on Friday June 6 – the last show until September.
Bristolian comic Mark Olver will compere the night.
He’s been on the comedy scene since the late 90s and has been nominated several times in the ‘Best Compere’ categories of the UK’s leading comedy awards.
His fast wit and comic timing has led to him becoming a TV warm up on many popular TV shows.
In the opening section, Chris Washington returns to Nantwich.
Hailing from Wigan, Chris started out in comedy in 2012, balancing the late nights of comedy clubs with the early mornings of being a postman.
In 2017, Chris posted his last letter, said goodbye to his glittering postal career and took his debut show to Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival and hasn’t looked back.
Since then, he’s appeared ‘Mock The Week’, ‘House of Games’ and hosted programming on Radio X.
Matt Bragg is the middle act and is making a return after his debut in Nantwich in 2023.
His low-energy, deadpan style is a perfect contrast to the closing act and his meticulously crafted jokes and observational style have propelled him to his first national headline tour in the past six months in theatres across the UK.
And closing the show is Australian comic Thomas Green.
One of the most asked about comedians since he was last with us three years ago, Thomas charms the audience as your best mate Aussie and then delivers a set full of straight stand up peppered with fine storytelling, sharp observational comedy and some killer punchlines.
An energetic and killer act to finish the current season.
