School trust bosses have launched a public consultation on the new primary school set to open in Nantwich in September 2026.
North West Academies Trust (NWAT) is holding a Section 10 Consultation under the Academies Act 2010 as part of the statutory process for opening Kingsbourne Academy.
It aims to decide whether NWAT should enter into a funding agreement with the Department for Education and is a chance for the local residents to learn more about the proposals and share their views.
The consultation period will run from Tuesday July 1st to Tuesday September 30th.
Kingsbourne Academy will be opened at the heart of the Kingsbourne housing development near to Nantwich Town FC and will provide primary school places for local families.
The school will be part of NWAT, which currently runs 12 schools across Cheshire and Shropshire.
NWAT is keen for parents and carers, pupils, staff, governors, local authorities, councillors, residents, and other interested parties to take part in the consultation and help shape the future of the school.
The Trust is hosting two community drop-in events where residents can speak to the team, ask questions, and view the school plans.
The first is today (July 10) between 4pm and 6pm at Nantwich Town FC.
The second is on Wednesday July 30 at The Nantwich Show, at Reaseheath College.

Printed copies of the survey will also be available at the drop-in events.
