Crewe Vagrants CC Ladies celebrated a hat-trick of victories in the space of a week.
They beat Haslington away, Over Peover also away, and then defeated Wistaston in a home encounter.
They cruised to a comfortable 114-run win over Haslington thanks to top scorers Ailsa Meakin (50) and Nicki Jarvis (40) after restricting Haslington to net 80 for eight.
Against Over Peover, the hosts finished on net 75 thanks to good bowling by Bela Smith and Dawn Price and some fine run outs.
Ailsa Meakin and Hannah Jarvis top scored with 20 and 19 respectively in reply, and and Crewe came out on top, winning by 39 runs.
And in their third game in four days, Crewe beat Wistaston by 53 runs.
Sheila Walker-Hulse took two wickets, as did Jess Kimberley with two in two balls.
Lisa Taylor, Bela Smith and Dawn Price also took wickets and Crewe were left with a target of just 58.
They cruised to victory with scores from Dawn Price (33) and Sheila Walker-Hulse (25).
Crewe CC men’s adult teams were equally successful.
The 1sts travelled to Moddershall and won by 110 runs.
Crewe’s openers created a good 76–3 platform. Lew Bacon’s back-to-form 50 with support from Nathan Twidell’s 15 took the score to 143–5 and a gateway to make good use of the last 10 overs.
Sam Youds hit 19 off 16 balls and in a finishing flurry Ben Jarvis (30) and captain Cal Bacon (12NO) set a useful target of 205 for 7.
In reply and at 59-1, the hosts were on course but the usual tightness from Ollie Jarvis (1-13 off 10), Faisal Mahmood, and Cal Bacon kept up the pressure.
Ben Jarvis then skittled out a number of Moddershall batters for a match-winning 6 for 42 performance.
Crewe 2nds were at home to Checkley and won comfortably by 54 runs.
Openers Richard Jarvis (29) and young Matt Whittingham’s promising 42 gave Crewe a good start before wickets tumbled.
Frazier Hoye (22) and Piers Stockton rallied watchfully and they finished on a respectable 175–7.
Taking the field, all Crewe bowlers bowled well and economically to restrict Checkley to 121 for 5.
Naveesh Alluri returned an excellent 3 for 15 and only a last sixth wicket stand from Hunt (45NO) and Cottier (17NO) gave some respectability to the visitors.
