BIRD BOX WORKSHOP - Nantwich

Bird and wildlife lovers are being invited to attend a special bird box making workshop in Nantwich.

The free event takes place at St Mary’s Parish Rooms in Nantwich on Thursday July 31.

It’s designed for families to attend to build their own bird or bat boxes for their gardens while connecting with the great outdoors.

Nantwich Town Council is sponsoring the event.

Town Cllr Anna Burton said: “This exciting event is all about promoting nature and fostering a love for all things nature, and it’s perfect for families of all ages!

“We will provide all the bird/bat box kits, so you just need to turn up and we will show you what to do. This is a free event.

“There will be a short talk on different birds or bats and their nest types so that you know which bird box to make!”

Also included will be bird puzzles, birds of the British Isles colouring-in and a short activity on making a speedy bird cake to feed birds this winter.

The workshop starts at 1.30pm, spaces are limited, with a total of 20 boxes (one per family) available.

Any families interested should email [email protected].

All children will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
