Nantwich Food Festival has been crowned as the winner of a major Cheshire Life Food & Drink Award.

The event was winner of the “Specialist Venue or Event of the Year” award ahead of other major vnues across the county.

The three-day festival – which this year takes place on August 29-31 – is largely run by volunteers.

However, a small team works on specific major projects throughout the year for the festival.

Also present was Nathan Arndt, Festival Secretary and Marquee Manager, as well as Jackie Stringer, Festival Town Liaison Manager.

Nanna Pedley said: “Nantwich Food Festival is unique in being both entirely run by volunteers and being free to enter, particularly given its size.

“Each year tens of thousands enjoy the events, entertainment and all other Festival features.

“We are so proud of our lovely town, our festival and now, having won such an impressive and prestigious award, we could not be more delighted.

“We look forward to welcoming friends old and new yo Nantwich Food Festival 2025.”

In the same category was Hilltop in Prestbury, and The Academy Restaurant, at Cheshire College South and West Crewe campus.

  1. Well done to Nantwich Food Festival for winning such a well-deserved award.

The festival is run entirely by volunteers, whether they work just a few hours over the festival weekend or work on major festival projects throughout the year; the directors are all volunteers too.
