A Nantwich-based osteopath has marked his 40th year working in the town.
Martin Davies has been at the helm of his family-run practice for four decades.
It started as a one-man clinic operating from his own lounge but has now grown into Nantwich Osteopathic Surgery, located next to Churches Mansion on Hospital Street.
It is the largest of its kind in the area, boasting four clinics across Cheshire including Nantwich, Crewe and Alsager, and a team of nine osteopaths and physiotherapists.
Both of his children, Emily and Matthew, have followed in his footsteps, each earning a Masters degree in osteopathy and joining the family-run practice.

Martin said: “I’ve seen many changes over the years.
“One of the biggest is that people now recognise we treat more than just bad backs and sciatica.
“We also help with a wide range of musculoskeletal problems—from knee pain to shoulder issues.”
The practice has cared for a number of high-profile and even famous patients over the years.
But he says his greatest satisfaction comes from keeping local people mobile, active, and independent.
“One of my proudest achievements is helping a patient who recently turned 100 — and still plays golf three times a week,” he added.
“I’d love to reach 50 years in practice and continue helping the people of Nantwich live healthier, more active lives.
“Our mission has always been to help people live pain-free, active lives.
“We’re incredibly grateful to the communities that have supported us over the years.”
