The Very Best in Stand Up live comedy returns for a new season at Nantwich Civic Hall in September.
Compering the first show on September 5th is Jamie Sutherland – a versatile performer, mixing a modern style of observational comedy with plenty of old-style jokes peppered right through.
The first act is Paul Thorne, a real veteran of the UK comedy circuit.
Thorne is in demand not just at UK comedy clubs, but internationally, with performances right across the world including Canada, Australia, Europe and Japan.
Second on stage is Emmy award-winning Fiona Allen.
She is perhaps best known from the cult Channel 4 show ‘Smack The Pony’, but has been a staple in many shows since including Skins, Shameless and Eastenders.
Her comedy work has seen her on shows such Mock The Week and 8 out of 10 Cats and she’s just finished touring her Edinburgh show success, On The Run, in theatres across the country.
Topping the bill is Stephen Bailey, a prominent headliner across the UK comedy circuit.
Bailey has completed a rare double appearance on TV’s Live At The Apollo, appeared on countless shows, including ‘Would I Lie To You’ and ‘Richard Osman’s House Of Games’ and we’re thrilled to have him close out the first show of a brand new season of ‘The Very Best In Stand Up’.
The show starts at 8.15pm on Friday September 5.
