The teams received their silverware at the league’s annual ‘John White Presentation Day’, renamed in memory of former League Secretary John White, who served South & Mid Cheshire Tennis League for more than 30 years.

Club Chairman Bill Heath, aged 80, was recently recognised with the Cheshire Tennis ‘Unsung Hero of the Year 2024’ award, highlighting his many years of dedication to the sport and WJTC.

Founded in 1977 during Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee, WJTC now has around 100 members.

With two floodlit courts and a welcoming clubhouse overlooking the action, the club continues to thrive both on and off the court – with plenty to celebrate this year.
