Parish councillors in Bunbury held a tree planting ceremony as part of the late Queen Elizabeth II Green Canopy initiative.
It took place next to St Boniface Church in Bunbury, organised by Bunbury Parish Council
The medieval panelled library at Combermere Abbey near Nantwich is to host a special Platinum Jubilee event on January 20.

St Mary’s Church in Acton hosted two royal-themed events during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations with an exhibition and a Tea at the Tower community café.
Both events were free entry, with donations received, and started with an exhibition on Saturday illustrating key events throughout Her Majesty’s 70-year reign.
More than 1,500 children in Minshull Vernon & District Parish Council area have been given Platinum Jubilee commemorative mugs.
The mugs were handed out across the parishes of Leighton, Woolstanwood and Minshull Vernon

The celebration was free entry to all and took place from 11am to 6pm.

A beacon was lit on Nantwich town square last night (June 2) as part of Nantwich’s celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Nantwich beacon was one of more than 2,022 beacons that were lit throughout the United Kingdom and overseas to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Nantwich bell-ringers will be in action today (June 3) as they perform a special three-hour Platinum Jubilee Peal at St Mary’s Church.
Starting at 10am, they will perform a peal of “Cambridge Surprise Major” in recognition of the Queen’s 70 years.

Nantwich shopkeepers and local schoolchildren have produced a colourful range of regal window displays and frontages to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The displays all have a red, white and blue theme and include Union Jack flags, The Royal Standard of the United Kingdom flags, and Platinum Jubilee flags.
Celebrations will be taking place across South Cheshire this coming Bank Holiday weekend to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
While residents across the area will be staging many private street parties, towns and villages are putting on organised events for the public to enjoy between June 2-5.
