Nantwich Museum has appealed for help to attract a new treasurer to the facility.
The Pillory Street venue is overseen by a board of trustees and volunteer officers.
And they have a vacancy in the key volunteer role of treasurer.
A museum spokesperson said: “The current treasurer will shortly be stepping down and the board is now seeking a replacement.
“We are looking for someone with experience of managing finances, with an understanding of strategy, governance and risk.”
The treasurer ensures funds are managed responsibly and in accordance with the museum’s priorities.
With input from museum manager Kate Dobson, the treasurer will set and monitor its annual budget and helps with the annual auditing of the accounts.
The treasurer is supported by a staff administrator, who manages the day-to-day financial transactions.
The spokesperson added: “The role can take up to a couple of hours a week, varying through the year.
“An ability to easily visit the Museum in person, in addition to regular telephone/online contact is desirable.”
