South Cheshire’s Seahorse Swimming Club has shown its community spirit by diving into fundraising for BBC Children in Need.

Club members turned their latest swimming session a cheerful shade of yellow as they wore their Pudsey T-shirts, purchased especially for the occasion.

Their efforts didn’t stop there. They also raised £280 through a members’ raffle and proceeds from a disco held earlier in the year.

Gareth Roberts, Secretary of Seahorse Swimming Club, said: “Seahorse swimmers look forward to this annual fundraising appeal and wearing their yellow T-shirts in the water.

“They love to support this worthwhile cause, as it gives vital support to children and young people in the UK.

“In recent years the Club has raised over £2,000 for the appeal.”

Seahorse Swimming Club, established in 1956, is recognised for its inclusive approach and commitment to supporting people with disabilities.

The club meets every Thursday evening at Crewe Lifestyle Centre on Moss Square.

BBC Children in Need supports more than 1,500 charities and projects nationwide, helping young people affected by poverty, mental health challenges, and social injustice.

Its grants fund vital services such as skills development, mental health support, and safe spaces for vulnerable children.
