Crewe & Nantwich Round Table has raised almost £18,000 in this year’s Santa Float collections.
The total amount of £17,738.29 is the organisation’s largest ever collection.
Across Crewe and Nantwich, Santa was welcomed with smiles, waves, and remarkable generosity.
A spokesperson said: “From doorstep donations to contributions made via our JustGiving page, every donation helped turn small moments into a record-breaking total for local charities and good causes.
“With thanks to all members of our community, for your warmth, generosity, and festive spirit.
“Our volunteers, who gave up cold evenings to keep the sleigh moving night after night.
“The members of the 41 Club, whose support was invaluable, helping as collectors, handling the banking, and preparing the float before the collections even began”
“Our sponsors, whose backing means 100 percent of all donations go directly to local charities and good causes.
“Phil and Matt, our amazing tractor drivers, who kept Santa safely moving throughout the collections.
“Paul Brereton Ltd, for providing the tractor to pull Santa’s sleigh.
“Matt from Premier Auto Detailing & Auto Storage, for giving the float a well needed clean halfway through the collections.
“Matt from Baldwins Plant Hire Ltd, for stepping in to resolve brake issues and keep Santa safely on the road.
“Freshfield Farm Eggs, for keeping the float safe and dry throughout the year.
“U Storeall Ltd, for being our hub during the collections.
“And last but not least, Santa, for bringing the magic, smiles, and Christmas spirit to every collection.
“This record total shows what can be achieved when a community comes together at Christmas.”
