car in royal oak pub

This was the scene after a driver lost control and ploughed their car into the side of a busy pub near Nantwich.

The incident happened at the Royal Oak pub on Main Road in Worleston.

Police are investigating the cause of the incident yesterday (April 24th), but it’s believed no one was injured in the crash.

Pub boss Dan Hesketh told Nantwich News: “We can confirm at around lunchtime, a vehicle collided with the side of our pub.

“Thankfully, no customers or staff were injured, and we’re relieved to say the driver is also safe and well.

“Emergency services attended promptly, and we’re grateful to the police for their support while the situation was dealt with.

“The cause of the incident is not yet known but we’re now aware the vehicle had parking issues.

“While it’s certainly not the kind of drive-in service we had in mind, we appreciate the enthusiasm, although we’d still recommend using the front door like everyone else.

“We’re open as usual and thank everyone for their concern and support.”
