Man, 61, who died in Nantwich house fire is identified

A man who was found dead following a fire at a house in Nantwich has now been formally identified.

The 61-year-old was found dead following a fire at his address on Welsh Road, Nantwich on Tuesday (May 19th).

A full investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing.

However, Cheshire Police and Cheshire Fire are not treating it as suspicious, and a case file will be prepared for the Cheshire Coroner.

Police have declined to name the victim due to the wishes of his family.
