
Nantwich Police have had a busy weekend already and have made 35 arrests before midday on June 7th.
The most recent included Sunday a 35-year-old man from Stockport who was arrested in Nantwich earlier today (June 7th) after failing to provide a sample for analysis.
And a 21-year-old man from Keyworth, near Nottingham, was arrested today after a traffic stop on Middlewich Road, where he failed a roadside breath test.
Friday proved to be another busy day.
A 19-year-old man from Hough was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault causing injury, and controlling and coercive behaviour towards his partner.
Officers also arrested a 51-year-old man from Crewe, wanted in relation to failing to stop for police and driving without a licence in the Manchester area.
Two more arrested included a man, 49, from Crewe, arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug, and public order offences, and a 29-year-old woman from Leighton arrested on suspicion of harassment, after reports of sending threatening emails and messages, threatening death and serious harm.
Yesterday (Saturday June 6th), an 18-year-old man from Nantwich was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault, after reports he had struck his partner to the face causing a jaw fracture.
Meanwhile, a man aged 44 from Crewe was arrested after reports of a disturbance at Crewe Lyceum theatre, where he was being abusive to people and throwing pint glasses. After a search, bags of white powder were located on him.
Other arrests included a 47-year-old man after a shoplifting offence at Morrisons Daily on West Street, and a 39-year-old man from Nantwich for reportedly poisoning a female by administering a noxious substance and stealing money from her.
Two other men in their 30s were arrested amid allegations of domestic assault.
A police spokesperson said: “This is only a snapshot of the 35 arrests made this weekend so far.
“Please only call 999 in an emergency, call 101 to report any non emergency incidents and you can also file crime reports online.”
