Nantwich firm SureCare Central Cheshire has been awarded the “Above and Beyond Team Award” at this year’s Stars of Social Care Awards in London.
The home care company was shortlisted for two awards with one of their carers Barbara Lander also a finalist in the “New to Care Award”.
Judges said SureCare Central Cheshire “consistently demonstrates what it means to go above and beyond” and that “through creativity, compassion and a deeply person-centred approach, the team supports people to live independently while maintaining dignity, choice and safety”.
Kirstie Hercules, director, said: “To be finalists in two awards and to win the Team Award has made us beyond happy.
“We received the Top 20 Home Care Provider for the North West last year and this further demonstrates what exceptional care our team provide.”
Sarah Castelow, registered manager, added: “Our team is not task-driven; they are people-driven.
“They cook, garden, create and celebrate alongside clients, encouraging independence and meaningful activity.
“They build deep, lasting relationships. Families consistently share heartfelt thanks and outstanding reviews in recognition of truly exceptional care.”
Barbara said: “When I heard that I had been selected as a finalist, I was shocked, proud, and incredibly happy — grinning from ear to ear.
“It gave me a real boost in confidence, and it was so rewarding to know that our hard work had been recognised.
“Attending the awards ceremony was a fantastic experience. Tina and Sarah looked after me so well, and the event itself was both glamorous and welcoming. It exceeded all my expectations.
“SureCare winning a team award was incredible, the evening couldn’t have been better. So proud. We are an amazing team. It is a memory I will always treasure.”
