Emergency services have this afternoon rushed to a major blaze at a farm in Coxbank, Audlem.
Reports suggest around eight appliances from Nantwich and surrounding stations are in attendance.
Witnesses are reporting seeing large plumes of smoke billowing over Audlem and Hankelow.
One said that no one has been injured but at least eight pumps are on scene.
Unconfirmed reports on social media suggest the blaze is at Kynsal Farm in Coxbank, just a mile south of Audlem close to the Shropshire Union Canal.
One witness who was walking by the canal at the time told Nantwich News: “We can’t tell what building is involved, but it’s a small hamlet with a group of houses close by.
“We can see around six or seven fire appliances on site and I believe they are trying to connect lines to the canal.”
Another added: “It was horrendous. Fire crews seem to have it all under control now but very scary and heart-breaking for those involved.”
We have contacted Cheshire Fire Service and Cheshire Police for an update.
