youth arts festival in Nantwich

The countdown is on for the second Nantwich Youth Arts Festival which takes place next weekend on July 4th and 5th.

Organisers have pulled together a packed programme of creative events for children, young people and families.

It follows the success of last year’s inaugural festival and is offering something for everyone aged 3 to 103.

Nantwich Town Mayor Cllr Kim Jamson said one of the highlights will be Sunday’s outdoor cinema screening of “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” at Brookfield Park.

Cllr Jamson said: “This is one of mine and my children’s favourite feel-good films, and I’m really looking forward to kicking back under the stars and enjoying the show with everyone.”

Deputy Mayor Cllr John Priest is looking forward to welcoming the Lowe Ensemble to St Mary’s Church on Saturday evening.

He said: “The Youth Arts Festival is all about celebrating and encouraging young talent, and the Lowe Ensemble embodies exactly that.

“Their passion, dedication and musicianship are truly inspiring. I hope residents will come along, enjoy a wonderful evening of music and help support these exceptional young performers.

“At just £7 a ticket – or £12 for two – and U16’s, it’s fantastic value.”

On Sunday, dance fans are in for a treat as AJ and Curtis Pritchard return to Nantwich for an interactive dance session at the Civic Hall, followed by a meet-and-greet for fans of the brothers and Strictly Come Dancing.
