After years of postponements, the road is now expected to open in June 2026 — more than four years later than originally planned, with the scheme initially due for completion in February 2022.

As a regular shopper in Nantwich town centre, I feel compelled to express my deep concern about the decision by Marks & Spencer to close the café at its Beam Street Foodhall — and, crucially, to remove the adjacent customer toilets at the same time.

It sounds like common sense that if global warming is caused by too much carbon in the atmosphere, we should remove that carbon.
