Nantwich Town’s revival under new boss Phil Parkinson continued un-checked with a fine 1-0 away win at Frickley Athletic.
It was the third victory in four games for the Dabbers since former skipper Parkinson returned the Weaver Stadium to take over as manager.
Nantwich Town have lodged a complaint to police alleging one of their players was assaulted at the end of the Matlock Town game.
The club has made the complaint to police, the Evo-Stik League and the FA, and says it has supported it with photographic evidence.

Former Nantwich Town favourite Danny Griggs says he hopes to “bring back the good times” to the club after joining new manager Phil Parkinson.
Griggs made more than 300 appearances for the Dabbers, and scored 103 goals, and won the Cheshire Senior Cup and the FA Vase.
