Cheerbrook Farm Shop in Nantwich has been nominated for the prestigious “Rural Oscars”. The store, off Newcastle Road, has been nominated for the Butcher’s Award in the Countryside Alliance Awards which aim to celebrate rural life, produce and communities.

A village green in Nantwich is to be officially renamed in honour of a late council stalwart. Willaston village green is to be called Mike Heywood Green in tribute to the former parish council chairman (pictured).
