Nantwich’s Digital Museum continues to flourish in the second lockdown.
The “Nantwich at Play” temporary exhibition staged in the Millennium Gallery in 2015, is now available on the website.

Nantwich Spooktacular cancelled due to COVID, say organisers
Organisers of Nantwich Spooktacular have cancelled the event due to COVID-19, it was announced last night.
In a joint statement with Cheshire East Council, they said the event at Dorfold Park which had been re-scheduled for November 14 will now not go ahead this year.
The Cat FM event raises more than £3,000 for hospital charity

Crewe and Nantwich community radio station The Cat FM has presented £3,058 to Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity for their Lost Little Ones baby bereavement suite appeal.
The money was raised at a “Sunday Night at the Lyceum” variety show organised by The Cat.

Nantwich Museum is to host its first live exhibition following its closure due to the Covid 19 epidemic.
A small exhibition echoing the annual Rotary Art and Handwriting competition will run in the Museum up until Christmas.

Nantwich Museum has announced a series of online talks for the Autumn called “Historical Nantwich Online”.
They will start on Wednesday November 18 with a “A Celebration of Salt, the story of Nantwich Brine” talk hosted by Graham Dodd.
Crewe Lyceum Theatre to receive £231,387 in Government support
Crewe Lyceum Theatre has received a total of £231,387 in grant funding from the Department of Media, Culture & Sport’s (DCMS) £1.57bn Cultural Recovery Fund.
The fund, set up by the government in July, makes urgent support available for cultural organisations that were financially stable before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Graham Witter has staged the Weston Christmas Lights show at his family’s farm for the past seven years, raising well over £100,000 in aid of Donna Louise Hospice.

TEDxNantwich event to be held “virtually” in October
TEDxNantwich is holding a virtual ‘Countdown to Climate’ event on October 11 featuring five expert speakers.
The independently organised event, licensed by TED, will bring people together from across Nantwich to learn how climate change is impacting the region and discuss what can be done to tackle it.

Nantwich Museum will reopen to the public on September 18 after a six-month closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It will be open on Saturday (September 19) and thereafter on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
