One of the busiest roads in and out of Nantwich is to close for four days, Cheshire East highways have said.
Newcastle Road, between the Elwood Way traffic lights and level crossing, will close from September 16 between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm.
Drivers face more disruption this week as the A530 Middlewich Road between Nantwich and Crewe is to close for surface dressing.
The road will be fully closed at various times between July 3 and 6 for works across the entire carriageway.
A five-vehicle smash has closed the M6 motorway northbound in Cheshire between junctions 16 for Nantwich and 18 for Holmes Chapel.
Drivers are warned to stay clear of the M6 after the accident today (July 17).
The A530 between Nantwich and Burleydam has been named UK’s fifth most dangerous road, a new report has highlighted. The eight-mile stretch of single carriageway saw 23 fatal or serious crashes between 2007 and 2011, according to latest 5-year figures.
