Vaccine decisions for Cheshire East children in care

Cheshire East is deciding on a case by case basis if children in the council’s care should be given the Covid vaccine if birth parents do not consent.

Annemarie Parker, head of service for cared for children and care leavers, told a corporate parenting committee that the local authority sought consent from the parents of cared for children aged 12 to 15.

Cheshire Police drop probe into fox death in Wrenbury

Cheshire Police have dropped an investigation into the death of a fox in Wrenbury during the hunt season.

Police say there is “insufficient evidence” that the incident in December 2018 was as a result of “deliberate and intentional hunting”.
