Fire crews spent almost 18 hours tackling a large compost fire on land in Hunsterson, near Nantwich.
Crews from Nantwich and Audlem were first called out at around 6.20pm last night (October 12) to land off Pewit Lane, Hunsterson.

A plant which will turn food and green waste into compost is set to be built near Leighton Hospital after councillors gave it the go-ahead.
Biowise has been given planning permission to build the plant on land off Middlewich Road – just 1.3km away from the hospital, and 500m away from the nearest homes.
