A nurse has been charged with eight counts of murder and 10 of attempted murder at The Countess of Chester Hospital in Cheshire.

Cheshire Police said tonight that the Crown Prosecution Service has “authorised them to charge a healthcare professional” in connection with an investigation into a number of baby deaths at the hospital.
