Police, council and health bosses across Cheshire today urged residents to be “responsible” as “Freedom Day” marks the final easing of lockdown restrictions.
They say cases of the highly transmissible Delta variant of Covid-19 are continuing to rise across Cheshire East, with 1,222 more cases in week up to July 8.
Pop-up walk in vaccination centres will be available in South Cheshire next week as health chiefs continue to tackle the rising cases of Covid.
Walk-in vaccination clinics will be running in Crewe on Monday and Tuesday at Grand Junction Retail Park and Weston Road, run by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Trust.
Nantwich residents and businesses are being warned by council chiefs to “not let their guard down” as Covid cases rise following the relaxing of step 3 restrictions.
The increase is mainly of the Delta variant affecting residents in the 10 to 39 age group, says Cheshire East Council.
