Nantwich Cricket Club celebrations went on into the night after the 1st team secured an incredible third league title in a row. The Whitehouse Lane team secured a hat-trick of crowns on a tense final day in the Cheshire County Premier Division.
Nantwich CC 1sts continued their bid for a third successive title with a 68-run victory over Widnes. The impressive unbeaten run has taken the Whitehouse Lane side to the top of Cheshire County Premier Division with just two games to go.
Nantwich CC fell just short of victory at home to Toft in another rain-affected Cheshire County Premier League clash. Nantwich batted first on their home strip at Whitehouse Lane, but were soon in trouble and were reduced to 58 for 7.
Nantwich CC 1sts returned to winning ways with a dramatic last-gasp victory at Urmston. Andrew Newton’s side pulled off the unlikely win by smashing 88 runs off the final 10 overs in a game delayed by rain.
