Defending champions Nantwich suffered another setback in their quest for a third consecutive ECB Premier League title. Nantwich slumped to a 41-run defeat away at Neston, their third reverse in the opening six fixtures.
Nantwich CC looked back to their best after notching a convincing victory at home to Chester Boughton Hall. The Whitehouse Lane 1sts skittled Chester out for just 128, recording a 75-run victory and 25 points into the bargain.
Nantwich CC 1sts were beaten in a tight finish at table-toppers Oxton. The visitors posted a score of 169 all out against the league leaders’ tight bowling attack.
Nantwich CC 1st team kick-started their 2012 campaign with a victory at home to newly promoted Marple at Whitehouse Lane. The hosts, without skipper Andrew Newton, smashed 251-4 and then skittled out their visitors for just 152 to claim 25 points.
