Nantwich Mayor Cllr Arthur Moran is urging the town’s residents to celebrate VE Day – from the safety of their own homes.
Friday May 8 marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day – the end of the Second World War in 1945.
Richmond Village in Nantwich is staging a traditional street party on Saturday June 2 as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. It will be one of dozens of similar events throughout the town and surrounding villages over the next four five days.
Two popular Nantwich venues are to stage a “Madhatters” street party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Bosses of Firenze restaurant and The Cheshire Cat have been given the go ahead to close a section of Welsh Row to traffic to stage the event.
