Nearly half of Cheshire East schools in deficit, council admits

Nearly half of Cheshire East’s 49 maintained schools were in deficit at the end of this financial year, figures show.

Finance officer Diane Green told the children’s overview and scrutiny committee that at the end of March, there was a reported consolidated surplus of £2.698 million.

M&S has launched a new colleague app to revolutionise how it donates surplus food from stores to local charities. The new system aims to considerably increase the amount of surplus meals being locally redistributed to those in need, via the store’s charity partners.

M&S offers surplus food to community groups in Nantwich

M&S bosses are calling on Nantwich charities and community groups to join its food redistribution scheme.

M&S and Neighbourly, its food redistribution partner, are donating surplus food to good causes across South Cheshire.
