One of South Cheshire’s most cherished country fairs is back this weekend as Marbury Merry Days returns for its 45th year.
The two-day fair, which takes place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May, is set in a picturesque field in Marbury, near Wrenbury, with a host of entertainment for all ages.
The 17th Century siege and Battle of Nantwich is remembered in an exhibition.
It opens in the Your Space Gallery in Nantwich Museum on Tuesday January 22.
A new exhibition called “Nantwich under Siege 1643-1644” is opening at the Community Gallery at Nantwich Museum.
It feature results of latest research looking at life in and around the town during the great siege.
A traditional two-day country fair in a village near Nantwich takes place this weekend. Marbury Merry Days takes place every May in the field next to St Michael’s Parish Church and Marbury Big Mere.
