Tributes paid after death of Nantwich Show stalwart John Broomhall

Tributes have been paid to John Broomhall, former chairman of The Nantwich Show, who has died aged 90.

John, who received an MBE for services to agriculture, was chairman of Nantwich Agricultural Society for 25 years.

Nantwich Show organisers have paid tribute to the man who helped turn the event into the biggest crowd-puller of its kind in the UK. John Broomhall has stepped down after 25 years as chairman of Nantwich Agricultural Society which stages the event every July at Dorfold Park.
