Nantwich Town have picked up their first award of the campaign.
The Weaver Stadium club has come top of the Premier Division Jungledrum Fair Play table for the months of August and September.
“We’re honoured to receive the Premier Division Jungledrum Fair Play award,” said Nantwich Town chairman Jon Gold (pictured).
“Our club traditionally has a good disciplinary record and we are keen to uphold that.
“The first team sets the disciplinary standard for all our youth teams to follow and it’s a great credit to Jimmy, Martin and the players that the club has received this award so early in the season.”
The award – a 1.5 litre bottle of Famous Grouse Whiskey – will be presented before this Saturday’s game against Worksop Town by David Lunn, of Jungledrum.
Mark Ogley will also be attending for the Evo-Stik League. The whiskey will be presented with an inscribed Jungledrum certificate as a memento.
The August/September Fair Play table will be published on the Evo-Stik NPL league website in the next few days.
