Crewe & Nantwich RUFC 1sts continued their fine start to their Midlands 1 West campaign with 41-18 win at home to Berkswell and Balsall.

Their third victory in four league games has Crewe sitting in second spot in the division after last season’s promotion.

And it was a good day for the other teams at the Vagrants based club, with all four senior teams winning for the second consecutive week.

The 2nds won 20-0 away at Glossop, and sit top of Raging Bull North West Leagues Division 2 South.

The 3rd team won 29-22 away at Linley 2nds, and are in fourth place in Raging Bull North West Leagues Freshlet Division 4 South.

And the 4ths thumped Bowdon 105-19 and remain leaders of the Raging Bull North West Leagues Division 5 South.

Director of rugby Andy Brown said all sides need to keep the momentum going with hard work in training.

“Congratulations to all four senior teams for winning for the second consecutive week,” he said.

“A fantastic achievement but to maintain this success we need to be at training every session.

“Commitment by every team to training and club is essential to maintain it. There are hard games ahead for all sides.”

The 1sts are away at Worcester next Saturday, while the 2nds welcome Stockport to the Vagrants.
