dermot cavanagh painting workshop

BBC TV artist Dermot Cavanagh is to stage a one-day workshop near Nantwich to encourage more people to take up painting.

Cavanagh’s “anyone can paint” watercolour workshop will be held at Woore Victory Hall, on London Road, Woore, on November 11.

Cavanagh is the artist, tutor and broadcaster behind the hit BBC TV series ‘Awash With Colour’, which has run for 74 episodes.

Celebrities like Charlie Dimmock, Gloria Hunniford, Suzanne Dando, Barry McGuigan and John Craven took up the paintbrush on the show.

“People often state they have learned more from my courses in a day than they learned from attending other classes for years.

“That’s because I have a tried and tested method of teaching which allows me to bring out the artist in anyone, even those with the most basic of skills.

“If you have the interest and a desire to paint, I have the ability and experience to teach you.

“One day with me and I’ll have any art enthusiast creating a watercolour to be proud of!”

The course runs from 9.30am to 5pm.

All art materials are provided on the day.

Spaces are limited. Price is £65 for the day.
