Police are hunting an attacker who assaulted a 20-year-old reveller in Nantwich town centre and left him with serious facial injuries.

The victim was walking along Swine Market between Hays Travel and Harrisons bar when he was approached by three men.

As he stepped aside to avoid them, one of the three launched an attack and left him with a broken nose and fractures to the cheek and eye socket.

Officers from Crewe Local Policing Team are appealing for information following the assault between 3am and 3.15am on Saturday January 30.

The offender is described as white, about 25-years-old, 5ft 10in, stocky build with blonde slicked back hair.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white top.

Investigating Officer Calum O’Toole said: “We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry and as part of the investigation I am keen to speak to anyone that was in the area at the incident occurred.

“I ask anyone who believes that they have any information that could assist our investigation to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 123 of 30/1/2016.”
