one of the acts eddy brimson, very best in stand up comedy

The Very Best In Stand Up returns to Nantwich Civic Hall this week with a top bill of live comedy.

And two of the acts playing on May 6 are performing in Nantwich for the first time.

The first act to take to the stage & making his Nantwich debut is Chris Washington.

Chris began performing stand-up comedy in 2012, and after two years and a few hundred gigs for promoters up and down the country, he is fast becoming one of the most sought after acts on the circuit.

With a cheeky Northern charm and hilarious tales, it’s clear to see why Chris is flying up the comedy ladder.

The next act is Canadian star John Hastings.

John is also making his Nantwich debut at this show, but has been performing stand up all over his native Canada since 2006.

He won the 2010 Canadian Homegrown Championship at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.

And he has been nominated for a Canadian Comedy award in the category of Best Newcomer and was named one of the five “comedians to watch” by the Canadian Comedy Network.

Headline act is Eddy Brimson, one of the UK circuits most in-demand acts working regularly at all the major clubs.

Eddy is equally in demand worldwide.

He played the first ever Altitude Festival in the French Alps in 2008 and the Sydney Cracker Festival in Australia.

Eddy has also taken his comedy to Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. He once even played a gig naked.

Compere for the evening is Danny McLoughlin, from nearby Chester.

Danny has supported both Micky Flanagan and Sean Lock on tour and has since played many major clubs up and down the country.

He has also performed at many of the country’s music festivals, including Latitude and Leeds.

Calm, confident and reassured, Danny is a safe pair of hands for any audience.

The show takes place this Friday (May 6) and tickets are on sale now priced at £10.

They are available from the Civic Hall direct or from the SeeTickets link on www.civiccomedy.co.uk

Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.
