justin moorhouse, very best in stand up show, nantwich

‘The Very Best In Stand Up’ returns to Nantwich Civic Hall on June 3 for the final show of the season.

Four more quality comedy acts have been lined up by promoters to close the season with a flourish.

The first act of the evening is Tom Wrigglesworth, an established stand-Up comedian, radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist from Sheffield.

He is best known for his live storytelling shows and BBC Radio comedy programmes which take a comical and emotional look at family relationships.

He is also known for his uncanny resemblance to record breaking Quarter-Back Aaron Rodgers.

The next act is rising star Brennan Reece, who will be making his debut in Nantwich.

Brennan’s rise on the comedy circuit has been meteroic.

He won the prestigious ‘English Comedian Of The Year’ award and came second in the ‘BBC New Comedy Award’.

This has taken Brennan around the world including sell out runs at the Melbourne comedy festival and closer to home at the Edinburgh fringe.

Final act is favourite Justin Moorhouse, last seen in Nantwich closing the 2014 New Year’s Eve comedy show to rapturous applause.

Since then, he has completed a national solo theatre tour.

He has revived his popular character ‘Young Kenny’ for the ‘Phoenix Nights Live’ shows at the Manchester Arena and has just completed a successful run at the Melbourne Comedy festival.

Compere for the evening is Jamie Sutherland, another quality comedian from Liverpool.

He has headlined and worked for some of the country’s top clubs including Sheffield Last Laugh, Jongleurs, and Comedy Central.

His modern act, with many observational topics, and up-to-date material, ensures a performance that will touch everyone’s buttons.

The show takes place on Friday June 3 and tickets are on sale now priced at £10.

They can be bought from the Civic Hall direct or from a link on www.civiccomedy.co.uk

A limited number of table reservations are also available for the show to groups of six or more on a first come, first basis.

Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.
